Presenting at the 2017 ASEA Convention

It was lovely to be asked to speak at the 2017 ASEA (Australian Speak Easy Association) Convention held in Perth this week.  This convention is held for people in the stuttering community (both consumers and helping professionals), and I found it very inspiring to be in your company.  It was lovely to receive feedback that my topic (Can CBT for Social Anxiety Help You?), resonated with many people in this community. 4.7% of the general population will meet diagnosis for Social Anxiety Disorder, whereas 22-60% of the stuttering population will meet diagnosis.  Therefore, social anxiety is something that should not be ignored in stuttering communities.

Well done on a great convention and thanks for having me along.
