The aim of CBTs WA is to make CBT accessible to more people. There are four ways that CBTs WA aims to make CBT more accessible to everyone in our community:
- Training mental health professionals in the effective delivery of CBT for people with mental health problems.
- Providing training to health professionals who may not specifically work in mental health (e.g., GPs, physiotherapists, chiropractors, dieticians, speech pathologists, etc), but may find aspects of CBT helpful in understanding and working with their clientele, and for maintaining their own mental health.
- Making the skills and strategies of CBT available to businesses, organisations and employers for their staff, to improve workforce wellbeing.
- Teaching the skills and strategies of CBT to the general public to improve general wellbeing and possibly prevent mental health problems.
All training and workshops offered by CBTs WA are run by Dr Lisa Saulsman
