CBTs WA Terms & Conditions – CBT Trainings

Professional Qualifications

CBTs WA trainings are advertised as being “for mental health professionals”.  They are suitable for professionals with a qualification in mental health (e.g., psychologists, psychiatrists, mental health nurses, counsellors, social workers, occupational therapists, etc), or people who are in tertiary study for their mental health qualification. They may also be suitable for professionals in the broader health or organisational fields, who have a special interest in mental health (e.g., general practitioners, physiotherapists, speech pathologists, dieticians, etc).

These trainings are not suitable for members of the general public.  By registering for this type of training, you are indicating that you meet the professional qualification criteria.  If you are unsure if you qualify, before registering please contact lisa@cbtswa.com.au, who is more than happy to assist.  Registering for a training when you don’t meet the professional qualification requirements, may result in being withdrawn from the training without a refund.

Cancellation Policy

CBTs WA reserves the right to cancel a training 2-weeks prior due to insufficient registrations, or at any time due to facilitator illness, for reasons imposed by the venue co-ordinator or any force majeure.  In the event of CBTs WA cancelling a training, your registration will be reimbursed in full.  CBTs WA is not liable for any other costs incurred as a result of training cancellations (e.g., lost income, travel expenses, etc).  If you are travelling intrastate, interstate or overseas to attend a training, travel insurance is highly recommended.

Participants who cancel their attendance more than 2-weeks prior to the training must do so in writing (email lisa@cbtswa.com.au).  Registrations will be reimbursed minus a $50 administration fee.  Cancellations less than 2- weeks prior to the training are non-refundable, but are transferrable to another mental health professional to attend in your place.  The transfer of registration must be done in writing (email lisa@cbtswa.com.au) at least 2-days prior to the training.  Failing to attend a training on the day, regardless of circumstance, is non-refundable.

Code of Conduct

It is expected that all training participants will conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner throughout the training, in terms of the treatment of fellow participants, the venue and venue equipment.

CBTs WA is committed to ensuring that professionals with a disability have equal access to our trainings.  If you have any specific needs, please notify us when you register (email lisa@cbtswa.com.au), and we will do all we can to ensure these needs are accommodated.
